The
NAFTA highway goes through the city of San Luis Potosi, allowing
the exchange of merchandise with the southern USA border in
less than 8 hours.
The three main
cities of the country, Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara
are within a 4 1/2 hrs. drive. The most important ports of Mexico
either in the Pacific or at the Gulf are easily accessed by
highway or through the convinience of the rail system.
The State of San Luis Potosi:
The state of San Luis Potosi has 24,000 square miles (62,304.74
km2) of territorial extension, naturally divided in four zones:
Centro (center), Altiplano (highlands), Huasteca (rainforest)
and Media (middle).
The largest concentration
of population is found in the Center Zone, with a total of 928,
296 inhabitants, this is the most important zone, home to the
state«s capital, the City of San Luis Potosi.
